Product Overview

Bonnie Braid brand at the 6mm (.24" or 1/4th inch) thickness, is a braided polypropylene cord, 100 yards (91.44 meters) long.  This cord is most suitable for small to large macramé applications such as rugs, mats, plant hangers, purses, and wall hangings.  Similar to a Super Bulky (size 6-7) weight yarn, this cord can be used for home décor knitting and crochet projects; use U.S. 11 or 8mm needles (for knitting,) or Q or 15.75mm - 16mm hook for crochet projects.

This cording is fusible (melt ends together with a lighter or melting tool).  Fuse ends together to join ends or finish without making knots.  This thickness can also be spliced together to form hidden knots (use a cord splicing tool such as the Magic Splicer).

Tensile weight limit is 154 lbs.  

6mm Bonnie Braid is also available in 50 yards (45.72 meters) length.

100% polypropylene.

    I've used this cord in the past on outdoor furniture and it has held up well in the summer weather. This is why I've purchased more. Very good quality.

    I’ve been using the braided cord for a couple of years; service, quality, and colors never disappoint. I’ve looked and tried other types of cord for my projects (e.g., crochet purses, bags, baskets) this by far is the best—and because it’s nylon, it doesn’t get dirty like cotton can. Great stuff as always!

    I bought 2 different sizes and colors for a project I'm working on to see which I liked best. I figured out which one (and made another project with other color) and then had to order more for my initial project. I LOVE this cord. I love working with it and I love the colors!!!! I will be ordering again and again :-)
