Product Overview
Braided using a variety of the finest glass yarns available. Our Fiberglass wicks are used in everything from outdoor patio torches to designer oil lamps . Fiberglass, being in-organic, will out-last cotton based wicks. Fiberglass is also used for environmental sampling applications, passive lubrication of machine gears and fragrance dispersion units. Some designs of fiberglass work great with the bio-fuels.
Wick diameters are approximates. Some designs will "expand" slightly after coming off of the knitters or braiders used to make the wick. Fiberglass wicks are made out of fiberglass yarns that are either braided or knitted.
Samples packs are available by diameter size:
Small: Includes 1 foot samples of each: 1/16", 1/8" and 3/16" round fiberglass wick typically used for decorative oil candles (part numbers 1376, 1284 and 1285).
Medium: Includes 1 foot samples of each: 1/4", 1/2", and 3/8" round fiberglass wick (part numbers #1286, 1380 and 1381). These sizes are typically used for outdoor style lanterns and torches.
Large: Includes 1 foot sample of each: 1/2" braided, 1/2" knitted, 7/16" knitted round fiberglass wicks (part numbers 1381, 4017, 4050). Typically used for out door patio torches or beach style party torches.
Extra Large: Includes 1 foot sample of each 3/4" and 1" (part numbers 4075 and 5000) round diameter fiberglass wick. Typically used for Hawaiian style party torches.
Un-braided Yarns: Includes 1 foot sample of Flat (UBG9) and Round (UBG250) Unbraided fiberglass yarn (approx 1/8" dia,) as well as braided fiberglass wick 1376 (1/16").
